The aim of each of the 62,208 possible puzzles in The Genius Square is to fill the board with nine coloured shapes, after positioning the seven 'blocker' pieces. While it may sometimes seem impossible to find a solution, there is always at least one solution for every puzzle—that’s why it’s called The Genius Square!
Each player receives a Genius Square grid (two grids are included) and a set of nine coloured shapes, along with seven 'blocker' pieces.
To start, roll all seven dice together, then place a 'blocker' piece in the grid squares that correspond to the seven coordinates indicated by the dice. Afterwards, race against your opponent to fill every remaining space on the grid using the nine shapes.
There are 62,208 possible combinations for how the dice can land, and we've confirmed through a specially designed computer program that each combination has at least one possible solution. Some combinations will be easy to solve, while others will be more challenging. It all depends on the luck of the roll!
Once someone finishes first, simply roll the dice and play again! You can also play solo and challenge yourself against the clock!
